Pro Hart

Kevin Charles (Pro) Hart (1928- 2006), grew up on a sheep station outside Broken Hill and later went on to working in the city’s mines. Memories from his childhood would later have a great influence on the subjects of his painting. 

He worked mainly with oils and acrylics, using layering, scumbling, glazing, scratching and any technique to achieve the desired result.

Pro wanted to make art accessible to the public and is often referred to as one of Australia’s best loved artists.
