Pio Carlone

Pio Carlone was born in Bari, Italy. He graduated from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts and went on to exhibit in Italy, France, Germany and the U.S.A.

In 1976 Calone migrated to Australia and continued to exhibit in commercial galleries as well as the Art Gallery of New South Wales. His work has been selected for major prizes, and private and corporate collections.

He has combined his European influences with the Australian landscapes to produce bold and colourful works of art.
